Gorillaz, Superfast Jellyfish
I had this glorious revelation the other day: “the gorillaz are genius, superfast jellyfish is a song about the perils of capitalism!!!… they’re so smart” Of course I had to listen to it again and again and again (to see if i was right).
Turned out i was just a fan girl over thinking lyrics.
Still a great song… The album is on repeat in le opice. I was obsessed with it about 1.3 years ago when Erika and I first recorded our draft Kickstarter script in her old room, at like… 2 am, with no make up, all eye bags, and tired voices. Sometimes the bad draft is what makes you want to do better.
